The Devil Wears Prada is a chick lit novel by Lauren Weisberger. Summary of the Book Andrea Sachs finally got the job of her dreams. A small-town girl fresh out of college, she was lucky to be working with Miranda Priestly, the successful editor of one of the leading fashion magazines. Andrea is almost overwhelmed by her office, where people scream the names of popular designer brands every day. However, her colleagues and peers are nothing more than hollow shells, hiding behind the posh finesse of their thinner-than-possible physiques and holier-than-thou make-up overhauls. However, there’s something worse Andrea needs to deal with: it’s Miranda herself. In the fashion world, Miranda is the best at what she does, and in the office, she’s better than the Devil himself, at being a downright nightmare.
