He asserts logically that the greed of humans, along with stupidity and horniness, will shape our near future. Old and new fans of Dilbert should certainly not miss out on this book. Summary of the Book The Dilbert Future is a comic revolving around the protagonist Dilbert. Dilbert, first published in the year 1989, brings out a satirical style to office humour. The comic strips showcase office politics, which barricades productivity. The place of work is Silicon Valley. Readers connect to situations where employees’ services are not appreciated well enough, and instead busy work is given more prominence. This maladministration leads to amusing circumstances, and makes Dilbert a very popular comic that it is. Dilbert is published in sixty-five countries in the world, in twenty-five different languages, and in two-thousand newspapers across the globe. It has also been featured on the cover of Fortune Magazine numerous times. Dilbert has won the Good Taste Award as the best comic strip of 1996. It was also honoured with the Squiddy Awards and the Zombie Award in 1996 and 1997 for the best daily comic strip. In the year 1997, Dilbert won the Best Syndicated Strip at the Harvey Awards. It was then trailed by the Max & Moritz Prize the successive year. It won the Squiddy Awards again in the year 1998 and 2000 as the Best Comic Strip of the Year. About Scott Adams Scott Raymond Adams is an American comic artist and writer. He is best known as the creator of Dilbert which he uses to point out the irony in corporate environments. Favouring satirical and sarcastic ways of representing the lives of white-collar workers, Adams's work has earned him several awards including the National Cartoonist Society Reuben Award and Newspaper Comic Strip Award for 1997.
