This book brings together a collection of essays by Sir Francis Bacon. Summary of the Book Sir Bacon’s writings are considered to have formed the foundation of the empirical method. In this collection of essays, he writes about various philosophical topics, touching upon his basic education in Ancient Greek and Roman classics. He added a touch of colour and vividness to the ideals in these classics, painting concepts as abstract as truth and justice in lucid terms. About Francis Bacon Francis Bacon was an English philosopher, the 1st Viscount of St. Alban, a statesman, scientist, jurist, orator, essayist, and author. He was also an Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England. Considered to be the Father of Empiricism, he established the well-known Baconian method, or the scientific method. Sir Bacon was also the first scientist to be knighted, receiving the honour in 1603. He has also written: The Novum Organum and The Valerius Terminus.
