The Panchtantra is an ancient Indian collection of interrelated animal fables in verse & prose. The original work in Sanskrit is believed by some scholars was composed around 3rd century BCE is attributed to Vishnusharman. According to its own narrative, it illustrates the Hindu principles of Morals, means prudent worldly conduct. The five disciples of Panchtantra tales are; The separation of friends, The gaining of friends, Of crows & owls, Loss of gains and Rash deeds.
