The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August is a fantasy novel by Claire North. Summary of the Book Harry August has died several times before. Whatever decisions he makes, whatever he does, he comes back to the same moment every time. He is reborn, time and again, as a child with the memories of a life he has lived almost a dozen times before. Nothing changes the first 10 times, but at the end of the 11th life, Harry receives a strange visitor at his bedside: a little girl who tells him that she’s glad she didn’t miss him, calling him “Doctor August”. She tells him that she needs to send a message. Armed with that message, Harry’s lives begin to change as he tries to save a past he cannot change, and a future he must not let happen. About Claire North Claire North is the pseudonym of Catherine Webb, a British writer. She has also written as Kate Griffin. North studied at the Godolphin and Latymer School, London, and the London School of Economics. Her books include Mirror Dreams, The Extraordinary and Unusual Adventures of Horatio Lyle and A Madness of Angels.
