The Good, The Bad and The Ridiculous is a series of essays from Khushwant Singh. It is his last published work prior to his retirement. Summary of the Book The book covers Khushwant Singh's encounters with various emminent personalities from India and Pakistan. In these essays, Singh has profiled: Jawaharlal Nehru, Krishna Menon, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Amrita Sher Gil, Begum Para, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, M. S. Golwalkar, Mother Teresa, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Dhirendra Brahmachari, Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, General Tikka Khan, Phoolan Devi, Giani Zail Singh and Bhagat Puran Singh among others. According to his public statement, this is his last book.  About Khushwant Singh Khushwant Singh was an Indian writer and journalist. He was well known for many books, including: With Malice towards One and All, The Company of Women, Delhi: A Novel and Train to Pakistan. A graduate of King's College London, he has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including the Padma Vibhushan and the Punjab Rattan Award.
