A Fun and Fast read for children. Meet John, Harold, Ruby, Ellen, and the twins Lisa, and Daniel, and enjoy with them their very first adventure! The children are on a holiday to Freston. They are staying in Hill-Top Inn run by the kind Mrs. Wilkins. They have taken their new pet pony Drumtrot with them. The children encounter mysterious happenings in the local railway station, and indeed the gardener Smith is also acting strange! Valuable and vital national goods have been stolen from the Navigate-Jackson Goods train, which passes through Freston. So along with loads of tasty treats, fun, and some hair-raising moments, the children have a great time solving the Goods Train Mystery.
