The suspicious death of a newly appointed headmaster at a private boarding school in Sussex leads to the discovery of fraud which threatens the very future of Greenacres School. Set during the summer of 1960 the action is seen through the eyes of a young graduate who has taken a new job at the school the chief investigating officer, DCI Blundell.
