Fans of Jennifer Weiner will love this collection of short stories about characters that we may sympathize with and can relate to. There is a lot to admire in these stories that are about women, relationships, families and struggles. Summary of the Book The Guy Not Taken is the story of a young married woman who happens to stumble upon her ex-boyfriend’s wedding registry. She starts to imagine what her life would have been like if she had married him. She wakes up from this dream only to find that it has come true. Tour of Duty is another short story in this collection. The story is about a young man who has gone to visit an Ivy League college with his mother. His mother does not know how to tell him that his father is leaving them, and that he is moving out of their home during the weekend. About Jennifer Weiner Jennifer Weiner is an American writer, television producer and former journalist. She joined the Centre Daily Times after graduating from college. Some books authored by her are: Good In Bed, Little Earthquakes, Goodnight Nobody, Certain Girls and Best Friends Forever. Her second novel In Her Shoes was made into a feature film starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette and Shirley MacLaine.
