The Himalayan Journal Volume 65 illustrates the changing aspects of mountaineering and interest in mountains. It does not concentrate only on climbing-which still remains a major focus-but also includes articles on a wide range of subjects such as art and artists, surveyors, recording of new challenging peaks, suggestions for smaller treks and a study of the 'Hump operations' over the Himalayas during the Second World War.
