A bestseller in the business world, The Innovator’s Dilemma gives an insightful and paradigm-shifting look into the smaller reasons behind a company’s downfall, and all the factors that affect it. Summary Of The Book The Innovator's Dilemma, first published in 1997, is a book that assesses the ways in which a company, albeit doing everything right and by-the-book, can lose its market value. Sadly, some remarkably successful companies are pretty much doomed the minute they refuse to keep up with the latest technology and innovations. The author terms this as ‘disruptive innovation’, and has observed that this is often the result of focusing on the current needs of their clients, as opposed to planning for the future. The author’s insightful analysis on the importance of changing technology, and its direct correlation to the success of a company, have been penned down in this bestselling book. Another observation is that the same, traditional principles that led a company to success can be the very reason for its downfall. A must-read for entrepreneurs, CEOs, and managerial staff, The Innovator's Dilemma is considered to be one of the most powerful business and reference tools in the industry. Christensen has laid out four different principles of Disruptive Technology that explain why the traditional and productive management practices that have been moulded according to the current technologies prove to be anti-productive for newer innovations. The author also provides advice and tips for staff to become effective employees for the betterment of the company, and for personal growth as well. About Clayton M. Christensen Clayton M.
