Growing with his lupine brothers Mowgli learns the way of the jungle. The two Jungle Books collect his adventures with Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear as he faces Shere Khan the tiger and Kaa the terrible jungle serpent. About Rudyard Kipling Joseph Rudyard Kipling was an English short-story writer, novelist and poet. He is also remembered as the author of Just So Stories and Kim. One of the most popular writers of his generation, Kipling was considered several times for Knighthood which he refused. In 1907 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature and he is its youngest recipient till date.
