Packed with ingenious twists and relentless excitement, and starring two of the most compelling heroes in crime fiction, THE KILLING ROOM is a major thriller event: the best novel yet from one of the world's best suspense writers. In the heart of Philadelphia, Detectives Byrne and Balzano are faced with a particularly horrific case that has ominous echoes of an earlier one for Byrne. Someone is murdering seemingly random people and leaving their bodies in deconsecrated churches throughout the city. Very soon the detectives realise that the killer has planned seven murders - exactly - and time is running out. But every time they sense they're getting closer it's literally another dead end. A very clever, determined and terrifyingly sadistic mind is at work. About the Author Richard Montanari was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to a traditional Italian-American family.
