About The Author: Abraham "Bram" Stoker ( 1847 - 1912) is renowned as an Irish author, particularly acclaimed for his 1897 Gothic masterpiece, Dracula. In his lifetime, Stoker gained prominence as the personal assistant to actor Henry Irving and as the business manager for Irving's Lyceum Theatre in London. His early education was under the guidance of the Rev. William Woods, and he excelled academically, earning a B.A. in Mathematics with honors. Stoker actively participated in the College Historical Society ("the Hist") as an auditor and served as the president of the University Philosophical Society.
