The Lewis Man is a suspense novel by Peter May which continues his Lewis Trilogy of crime novels. Summary of the Book Fin Macleod has a new case. And this one reeks of something strange. An unidentified corpse has been recovered from a Lewis peat bog. DNA analysis links it to an unlikely local farmer named Tormod Macdonald. Tormod is an elderly man suffering from dementia, and he has always professed that he was an only child. So how can there be someone linked to him? Fin feels obligated to his family as they ask him for help in clearing Tormod's name. What he discovers is a web of lies that runs into Tormod's past, one that endangers everyone around him. About Peter May Peter May is a Scottish screenwriter and crime fiction novelist. He is best known for The Lewis Trilogy, which begins with The Blackhouse and ends with The Chessmen. A journalist for several years, May worked for The Scotsman and the Glasgow Evening Times. His novel, The Reporter, was adapted into a 13-part prime-time television series entitled The Standard. He also created the TV series Squadron, and Machair.
