A simple law firm hits the jackpot when an attorney at a low end in his career decides to take their offer and begins litigating a high profile case. The Litigators is a legal thriller by John Grisham. Summary of the Book Finley & Figg is one of the smallest and most low-profile law firms there is. They call themselves a “boutique law firm”, one that indulges in quickie divorces and DUIs. In the twenty years that they’ve been in business, they have never managed to make a big hit. One day, David Zinc, a burned-out young attorney comes their way and decides to take their offer in a desperate move to try and find a career. The firm decides to use their new high-profile member to tackle a case that is way out of their league: they want to join a class action suit against the manufacturers of a new and extremely popular drug, Krayoxx, the number one cholesterol reducer for the dangerously overweight. The company manufacturing the drug is worth $25 billion, any sign of a suit could lead to huge money for the firm involved. However, to pursue the case, the firm needs clients who have had heart attacks while taking the drug. And it needs to clean up its act before it can take on the big boys. About John Grisham John Grisham is an American novelist best known for his prolific writing in the legal thriller genre. Some of Grisham’s other novels are The Rainmaker, The Client, The Chamber, A Time To Kill and Bleachers. A graduate of Delta State University in Cleveland, Grisham practiced law for about a decade.
