Summary of the Book Precious Ramotswe might have bitten off more than she can chew. Her first case with the lawyer Mma Sheba regarding a deceased farmer’s estate. The young man who has stepped up as the heir might be an impersonator and it is up to Mma Ramotswe to prove it. Just as she goes to the farm to investigate, the proprietor of the Minor Adjustment Beauty Salon comes to her for advice. The salon is being defamed by rumours of peoples' skins being burnt through their treatment. To add fuel to the fire, Mma Ramotswe has noticed something amiss about Grace Makutsi. She looks like she is pregnant and in Botswana, this may be a problem just as much as it is a cause for celebration. About Alexander McCall Smith R.
