In their quest to find the murderer and unravel the mystery surrounding the mummy, the Hardy Boys don’t have time to waste. About Franklin W. Dixon Franklin W. Dixon is the pseudonym of several writers, all of them ghostwriting the Hardy Boys series of stories. The name was first used by a Canadian writer called Leslie McFarlane. The rights to the name and the books are owned by Simon & Schuster, a publishing house based in New York. The Hardy Boys were created by Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate, a book-packaging firm.
