For the purpose of admitting students to the B.Sc. Hons Nursing Programme which is offered at a number of institutes affiliated by the university, the Guru Gobind Singg Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET). The marks scored in the CET are used for admitting students in the institutes offering B.Sc. Hons Nursing Programme.The present study package designed forB.Sc. (Hons) Nursing CET 2016 has been divided into five sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness, each sub-divided into number of chapters as per the syllabi of the entrance examination. The Physics section covers Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Light & Sound, Modern Physics, etc whereas the Chemistry section covers Atomic Structure, Carbon & Its Different Forms, Chemical Bonding, Acids & Bases, Laws of Chemical Combination, etc. The Biology section covers Evolution & Genetics, Diversity in Living World, Biotechnology, Human Disorder, Human Health & Welfare, Diversity in Living World, etc. Each chapter in the book contains ample number of solved problems which have been designed on the lines of questions asked in previous years’ GGSIPU B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing CET. The English Language and Comprehension section covers the basics of English Language & Comprehension along with required theoretical content. The General Awareness section covers History, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy and General Knowledge. Also two section tests have been provided at the end of each section to ensure section wise revision and sharpening of skills. Also 2014 & 2015 Solved Papers of GGSIPU B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing CET have been provided in the book to help aspirants get an insight into the recent years’ examination pattern and the types of questions asked therein. The book also contains three practice sets designed strictly on the lines of the current examination pattern of GGSIPU B.Sc.
