Damon Richardson is a young, Ivy League–educatedAfrican American who was raised in a comfortable,integrated suburb. Confident in his abilities andconvinced that his background shields him from racialprejudice, he lands a job at an advertising firm where hehopes to quickly climb the career ladder.Josh Ford works at the same firm, yet has a vastly differentpast.
