Originally published in 1915, this book is the second of two volumes describing the popular risings during the reign of Henry VIII known as the Pilgrimage of Grace and the Exeter Conspiracy. Volume Two describes the devolution of the Pilgrimage from the beginning of 1537 and its eventual dissolution, as well as the growth and downfall of the Exeter Conspiracy the following year.
