The Practicing Mind: Developing Focus And Discipline In Your Life - Master Any Skill Or Challenge By Learning To Love The Process is a practical guide that teaches you how to master the art of developing skills and being proficient at them, simply by learning how to love the entire process. Summary Of The Book The importance of cultivating and nurturing traits like patience, discipline, commitment and focus has been highlighted in this engaging self-help book. The author attempts to make the readers understand that each task or goal needs several tries and repetitions before it can be achieved or excelled at. Even something menial, like a child learning how to ride a bicycle or tie his shoelaces, is a task that is mastered after several failed attempts. That, in essence, is the nature of learning, and as we grow up, somewhere along the way we lose sight of that. The author shares personal experiences, insights and anecdotes that urge the readers to retrace their childhood days, when one was more focused on living in the moment rather than expecting a particular outcome. This philosophy, if applied to adults, can lead to a dramatic improvement in achieving goals and being mentally satisfied with life, by eliminating the stress that accompanies expectations and impatience. It is important to appreciate the entire process, give it time and learn as much as you can throughout, before anticipating massive successes in your life. The Practicing Mind: Developing Focus And Discipline In Your Life - Master Any Skill Or Challenge By Learning To Love The Process helps readers revisit a level of focus, perseverance and commitment, and explains how living in the moment and enjoying the process is a sure-shot way to conquer goals with ease. This book helps the reader map out a path to success - by formulating small and manageable goals that can be quantitatively achieved, and by learning how to focus on the current task, giving it your full concentration and attention.
