The lectures in The Religion of Man have been derived from experience and were written by Tagore when he was seventy year old. About Rabindranath Tagore Rabindranath Tagore was a man who was a master in several fields. He revived Bengali literature and music in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He was the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in the year 1913. He introduced new prose and verse forms, and the use of colloquial language in Bengali literature.
