In the revised and updated version of this book The Return of Depression Economics, the author begins to throw light on the failure of the current financial system. He states that the regulations have not been able to keep the current financial system of the world in check and this will eventually lead to financial disaster that will be like the disaster of the 1930s. He then goes on to mention certain necessary steps that must be taken to avert such a financial crisis. Krugman has written this book in a very lucid and easy-to-understand style. The author of this book Paul Krugman is also a renowned figure in the field of economics and teaches the subject at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, which is a part of Princeton University. Apart from that, he is also a well-known op-ed writer for The New York Times. The author hails from Albany, New York and has completed his studies from John F. Kennedy High School, located in Bellmore. Some of the notable publications of the author include Pop Internationalism, The Age of Diminished Expectations: U.S. Economic Policy in the 1990s, and Fuzzy Math: The Essential Guide to the Bush Tax Plan. The author currently resides in Princeton, New Jersey along with his spouse.
