Earlier, Neo-colonialism was used to applied to European policies that were seen as a kind of schemes to maintain and make control of African and other dependencies. The term neo-colonialism is now an unambiguously negative one that is widely used to refer to China that is a form of global power in which transnational corporations in the form of depth policy and multilateral institutions combine to perpetuate colonial forms of exploitation it's neighbouring and least developing countries. The renewed engagement of China with African states and China’s growing assertiveness on the global stage have spurred a polarising debate on the conceptualisation of China’s involvement in Africa. Although, China does not hold the any kind of colonies imperial powers used to lord over any country except Tibet, it is said to conduct itself as one of them. China's neo-colonialism governance can be seen as operating through indirect forms of control and, in particular, by means of the economic, financial, and trade policies of transnational corporations and global and multilateral institutions with Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Africa and many countries.
