About Deep Narayan Pandey Deep Narayan Pandey became a part of the Indian Forest Service (IFS)in the year 1988. Prior to this, he was a Forest Ranger for five years and the Assistant Conservator of Forest in Madhya Pradesh. He took a keen interest in wildlife and its conservation and visited over 250 Indian protected areas, wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, biosphere and national reserves. In 1984, he won the Hewetson Gold Medal for the Best Forester. He later won a Silver Medal 1987 for his skills in Forest Management. About Rupa Publications Rupa Publications is an Indian publishing house that is based in Kolkata. It was founded by D. Mehra in the year 1936 at College Street, Kolkata. They are also books distributors and importers. They have published all of Chetan Bhagat’s books, My Country My Life (The autobiography of L. K.
