The Scorch Trials is the second title in The Maze Runner trilogy, which is a young-adult dystopian science fiction trilogy written by James Dashner. Summary of the Book Thomas and other Gladers have escaped the maze. They are put in a dormitory where they feel safe, only until they are in another one the very next day. There, people called Cranks are moaning and screaming through their room windows. The Gladers find dead bodies hanging on the ceiling and later find out that Teresa has gone missing. The only girl in the group, Teresa shared a close relationship with Thomas. Will Thomas find where she is? Will they escape from the spooky dormitories?
