The state forces take Sarva away, and his mother, Indra, searches for him through the endless mazes of Sri Lankan bureaucracy. Mugil, a former child soldier, leave the tigers in the middle of the war to protect her family. Sarva, on the other hand, leaves the country eventually. While Mugil stays on to rebuild her family, Indra lives to quietly watch Sri Lanka gamble away its only chance at peace. About Rohini Mohan Rohini Mohan is a journalist and author. She completed her Masters in Political Journalism at Columbia University, New York. She writes mostly on politics, environment, human rights, and health in South Asia. She has written for Tehelka, Al Jazeera, The Caravan, The Hindu, The New York Times, and Outlook Traveller. She has also written for the news channel, CNN-IBN. Rohini currently lives in Bangalore.
