The Second Choice is the touching story of two young people, who got into a second marriage for convenience. It was not with their own interest, but for their daughters' sake they had to agree, because of the pressure from their dear ones. Though Pavithra, the protogonist, wants to become a good mother to Indu, she faces unexpected obstacles which makes her life and her daughter Anu's life miserable in their new home. But her patience and love finally pay off. Will Pavithra and Venu be able to find love in each other in their new life? Read the story set in the cities of Bangalore and Mumbai. About the Author Lakshmi Menon has written several short stories and articles, and "The Second Choice" is her debut .novel in English. Prior to this, her novel "Veendum Yatra" was published in a Malayalam magazine. She has authored a children's book (Tinky's Best Gift) and co-authored two anthologies ("Bhelpuri" and "Many Rooms and Many Voices"). She lives in Bangalore with her family.
