Summary of the Book In this book, the young reporter Tintin, his dog Snowy, and his buddy Captain Haddock find a puzzle left by Haddock’s ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock of the 17th century. It could possibly lead them to a hidden treasure of the pirate Red Rackham. But Tintin and Haddock have to find three similar models of Sir Francis’s ship, the Unicorn. When they set out to find them, they come to know that there are a few criminals who are after these model ships and are ready to even kill for them! What course does the adventure take from there? About Herge Herge was the pen name of the Belgian illustrator and writer, Georges Prosper Remi. His most popular creation was Tintin. He also created another comic book series featuring two children and their pet monkey – Jo, Zette, and Jocko. Remi started his career creating illustrations for Belgian Scouting and Catholic magazines. He later worked for a Belgian newspaper, Le XXe Siecle, where he adopted the name Herge. The first volume, Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, appeared as a serial in the newspaper’s supplement.
