Many narratives are woven around Kailas and Manasarovar in the large body of literature in Sanskrit from ancient times and in other languages, besides travelogues written more recently . It is difficult, however , to find the multiple facets and perspectives of these holy sites in one place. This book fills the void. About the Author Dr. T aradatt earned his Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University after completing dual Master's degrees in Sanskrit with specializations in literature and Indian Philosophy . After a brief teaching assignment, he joined the Indian Administrative Service and superannuated in the year 2016 after a lengthy administrative innings serving in Central and State Government posts. He has authored a number of research papers in Sanskrit published in reputed journals of the relevant field, as also topical articles on social and administrative issues that form a part of books, magazines and national daily newspapers.
