Sidney Sheldon was born in 1917 in Chicago. He started his career by reviewing scripts for movies. He wrote his first novel The Naked Face in 1969 and since then he has won various awards for his works. He has won Academy Award for Writing the Original Screenplay for the movie The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer,and was nominated for an Emmy Award. He married three times in his life and died a few days before his 90th birthday from pneumonia.
