He is a violin player who likes penning historical fiction. The concept of Nine-Nails McGray struck him while he was munching on pizza with a few friends in an Edinburgh restaurant. He thinks Edinburgh is a place that can perfectly stage crime mystery. Muriel currently lives in Lancashire.
