Just as a young girl and her mother sit down to tea, a tiger knocks on their door and asks to join their party. The Tiger Who Came to Tea is a kid’s book by Judith Kerr. Summary of the Book Sophie and her mother sit down for tea, and they receive a guest: who could it be? It’s a tiger, mighty and strong, who they hope won’t stay too long. However this tiger drinks up the tea, he eats the food and lets nothing be. He drinks the water from the bathroom faucet, leaves nothing remaining, nothing in the closet! To feed the tiger, to let him be, journey to the market with the mother and Sophie. But will plain old tiger food keep the tiger glad? Or will he eat more of their food and make them sad?
