Probably the nastiest couple around, the Twits hate everything around them and cause misery for anyone who comes close. All the ever do is play dirty tricks on one another if they have no one else to bother. However, those around them will soon come up with plans to escape the Twits. Summary of the Book The Twits are a terrible couple who don’t just treat other people badly, but each other too. Their monkeys, the Muggle-Wumps, are the ones who suffer the worst fate. As if having the Twits as their owners isn’t enough for them, the monkeys are made to stand upside-down at all times with the Twits hoping they could have a monkey circus one day. The horrific acts of Mr. and Mrs. Twit don’t end here. The two of them cannot stand one another and are always playing nasty pranks on each other. Mr. Twit tries to trick his wife into thinking she is shrinking and that helium balloons will help stretch her. He secretly wishes that she will just be blown far away by the wind. Mrs. Twit, on the other hand, keeps dropping her glass eye in her husband’s beer mug. Eww! While their antics will never stop, the Roly-Poly bird, the Muggle-Wumps, and a group of boys about to be cooked in pie, do what they have to do to put an end to escape the filthy couple.
