The Utopia Experiment is Dylan Evans’s remarkable story – an experiment in human psychology that had gone terribly wrong. Summary of the Book Dylan Evans came up with the idea of a post-apocalyptic living – quitting a high-tech job, moving to the secluded Scottish Highlands, and establishing a community called The Utopia Experiment. A heterogeneous mixture of volunteers joined him in the test. Evans tried to abstain from using modern technology and material comforts. The experiment soon led him to madness which was followed by a slow recovery. In this book, he asserts that the experiment helped him learn the hard lessons about life and about himself. It also helped him see the modern world with a new perspective. About Dylan Evans Dylan Evans is a British author and academic. He is best known for his works on the placebo effect, emotion, and the theories of Jacques Lacan.
