This volume follows on from First Series 77, with which it has continuous pagination, covering 1610-1611, the return to France. With a treatise on animals, trees, and fruits, and advice upon the voyage to the East Indies. For the first part, see First Series 76. The supplementary material includes the 1889 annual report. This is a new print-on-demand hardback edition of the volume first published in 1890.
