About Steven Pressfield Steven Pressfield is a noted American historical fiction writer, screenplay writer and author. Born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Steven Pressfield earned his graduation degree from Duke University and served in the Marine Corps. He has also worked as a fruit-picker, teacher, bartender, copywriter, mental hospital attendant, tractor driver and in oil fields.
