Eliot Thomas Stearns Eliot was born in the year 1888. He was an American born British poet, playwright, essayist, and publisher. Eliot started to write poetry from the young age of fourteen. He then served as a Philosophy assistant at the institution, before moving to Paris in the year 1910 to study at the Sorbonne. He again returned to Harvard to study Indian Philosophy and Sanskrit from 1911 to 1914. In the year 1948, Eliot was awarded the most prestigious Nobel Prize in Literature for his pioneering contribution to modern poetry. The same year, he was awarded the Order of Merit by King George VI. Eliot had thirteen honorary doctorates to his name, from some of the most renowned institutions like Harvard University, Cambridge University, and Oxford University. He passed away in the year 1965 in London. Some of the most notable works of T. S.
