This story tells us how the CIA changed drastically after the 9/11 incidents. Ever since that day, USA has begun a war against Islamic extremism and will do anything in their power to put a stop to it. Summary of the Book The 9/11 attacks left a horrible scar in the hearts and minds of Americans. Since then, they have been dedicated to fight against terrorism and Islamic extremism. This book gives us an account of how the CIA evolved from being an intelligence agency to something more dangerous to terrorists. Their order is to kill all the enemies and they have been arranging a lot of proxy killings with Pakistan heading their list. The book also reveals the rivalries between the CIA, the Pentagon and the White House. About Mark Mazzetti Mark Mazzetti is an American journalist with the New York Times who has won Pulitzer Prize for international reporting. He graduated from Duke University and got his bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Politics from here. He went on to get a masters degree in history from Oxford University. He began his career as a reporter of national politics as a correspondent for The Economist. He later joined the staff of US News and World Report.
