Throne of Glass is the first novel in eponymous fantasy fiction series by Sarah J. Maas. Summary of the Book When Celaena Sardothien is brought before the Crown Prince Dorian, she hopes she has a way out of her doomed life in the salt mines of Endovier. However, Dorian has a condition: she must fight for him as his champion in a contest to find a new royal assassin. If she agrees, she will face thieves, assassins and warriors selected by members of the king’s council. If she wins, she must work for the kingdom for three years, after which she will be free. However, the life of a royal assassin is a constant battle for survival. Does she really want a life full of risk? And if she loses the contest, she will forfeit her life.
