The book is conceived and edited by the world's most well trained authority on tigers. All of the contributors of this book are either naturalist, writers, photographers or tiger enthusiasts. The book consists of stories on tiger hunts, attacks on humans by tigers, and about tigers rearing their young and finding their mates.  Summary of the Book Humans have taken a special interest to tiger for ages now and have feared, worshipped, photographed and written about them. The beautiful creature has been immortalized in art and poetry. Vaimik Thapar has put together over forty years of research into this book which is come to be known as the most ambitious book ever published on the tigers in India and will be treasured by anyone who possesses it. It consists of a definitive collection of writing over a span of 500 years and the design includes rare photographs of tigers taken by various photographers. There is also a section which talks about the difficulties in the conservation of tigers in India.  About the Author Vaimik Thapar has spent several years in serving and learning about the tigers of India. He has written at least 20 books and made several short movies for the BBC and other television channels on the flora and fauna. He is the founder of the Ranthambore Foundation.
