Titli is the novel of the man and society struggle and human dignity. Titli, Shaila, Madhuri, Shyamkumari, Rajkumari, etc in the novel are not merely feminine female characters, but ones who are both broken and strengthened to bring about reform in society by their 'weaknesses'.
