Tony’s Superhero Story was first written in early 2021 when Tony was preparing to study for his clinical licensure exam to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He experienced nervousness in anticipation of this 170-question exam and felt anxious due to the Coronavirus pandemic. To help reduce these negative emotions, Tony began to write his life story. During the writing process, Tony decided to change his context to the superhero and fantasy genres, which he has enjoyed since early childhood. The water aspect came naturally to Tony who has always been drawn to water since birth. After titling the parts of Tony’s Superhero Story and finishing the first draft, Tony felt in control of his anxiety and realized that this written self-healing story could be a book to benefit everyone. Before passing his licensure exam, Tony began to develop his story into a book by consulting with the editors, hiring Monique to do the artwork, and hiring John for his expertise.
