Torment, by Lauren Kate, is the second title in the young adult gothic fantasy and romance series, Fallen. Summary of the Book Preceded by Fallen, the story of Torment continues with Daniel and Luce’s endless cycle of their romance ensuing avidly by holy and demonic forces. It looks like there is something big waiting to happen this time. In this lifetime, Daniel seems to have resolved to protect Luce from the enemy forces. He joins the other angels and demons in an 18-day treaty. On the other hand, Luce is annoyed at Daniel because he is not being completely honest with her. She resolves to find the truth on her own. Torment is followed by the title, Passion. About Lauren Kate Lauren Kate is an American author. She was born in Dayton, Ohio. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she attended the Plano Senior High School. She has a master’s degree in fiction from the University of California. Lauren pens fiction for young adults and has written books like The Betrayal of Natalie Hargrove, Passion, Teardrop, Waterfall, and the Fallen series. Her books have become international bestsellers and have been translated into more than thirty languages across the world. She currently lives in Los Angeles.
