Harad is a powerful Ayurvedic herb with numerous health advantages. The plant appears to be quite ordinary, but don't be fooled by its appearance; the benefits will astound you. Harad, also known as Black myrobalan, is a large tree that grows to be 8-12 feet tall and thick. The bark has a deep brown colour. The oval-shaped leaves are 3-8 inches long and 2-4 inches wide, hanging down in clusters. At the apical end of the leaf stem are two knots.
