Transgenics in Horticulture provides a comprehensive account of the genetic manipulation of various horticultural crops like fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, plantation crops, medicinal and aromatic plants for pest and disease resistance, stress tolerance and improvement of yield and quality. It is a compilation of the production of transgenic horticultural crops highlighting the key scientific and technical advances in their development. The text has been organized into eight chapters which includes an short introduction to the importance of transgenic horticultural crops followed by the advanced transformation studies carried out in various horticultural crops.
