This book is an academic list of hundreds of inscriptions found in the Region of Travancore (now a part of Kerala). The book is arranged aphetically, district wise. Among the districts the peruser will find : Adur, Aruvittura, Colapuram, Citaral, Kanjur, Kanya Kumari, Kulitturai, Mannar, Marungur, Niranam, Podiyal, Sucindram, Tirupporaiyaru, Trivandrum, Valappalli, etc. The list of the inscriptions is in the form of a table, and gives the place of the inscription, the dynasty, the name of the king, the date, the language and alphabet, and a short remark about the inscription.
