Twelfth Night is an amusing play by William Shakespeare that revolves around the twins, Viola and Sebastian, the two main protagonists. Summary of the Book The comedy has a complicated plot that has been caused because of one woman, Viola, who disguises herself as a man who goes by the name of Cesario. Cesario currently serves Duke Orsino who is absolutely sure that he is in love with Olivia, a wealthy countess, who is mourning the death of her father and brother. Orsino knows that Olivia has made a vow not to entertain any suitor for the next seven years. He sends Cesario to her place so he can tell the countess about Orsino’s love for her. Olivia forgets her all about her vow and falls in love with Cesario not knowing that the identity is a mask worn by Viola. a woman. Viola in turn has fallen in love with Duke Orsino, but cannot reveal herself to him. Meanwhile, Olivia’s uncle and his crew plan to fool the countess’ proud steward, Malvolio, by making him think that Olivia is secretly in love with him.
