The Book "UNDERSTANDING CHILD AND CHILDHOOD: Assessment and Evaluation in Early Childhood Education during the "Magical Years", has been written with the specific purpose of providing up-to-date information and urgent need of students, studying in DPSE, D.El.Ed and other teacher training courses, also students preparing for CTET, UGC-NET, SET, SLET, and other comparative exams. A number of factors affect the course and progression of child development within a given individual. These include the innate or the biological makeup of the child themself and external influences such as family, society, economics, health, and culture. Thus, growth and development are directly related to the child’s nutrition, affluence, parenting styles, education, and interaction with peers.To thrive in a world increasingly shaped by science and technology, our children and grandchildren must have a basic understanding of how the world works, how we came to know what we know, and the ability to learn useful new knowledge and skills on their own hands and minds.
